Our site, our rules
This website is owned by ZenAuto Limited. These terms set out the rules for using our website zen.auto.
We (that’s us, ZenAuto Limited) own our website. Every site comes with a few rules. Here are ours. If you use our site, we’ll assume you’re happy with them.
If you don’t agree with our rules, we’re afraid you can’t use our site.
Now and again we’ll update our rules, so keep an eye on this page to make sure you’re still happy with them.
Our websites for you if:
- you're 18 or over;
- you live permanently in the Mainland GB*;
- you fancy leasing a car.
Ordering your car online
We get details about our cars from our manufacturers, but the info in here’s only a guide. Please, double and triple check your order details to make sure you’ve picked a car that’s right for you. If you need help or a second opinion, give Tom and the team a call.
If you’re leasing a new car from us, the car in the photo isn’t the actual car you’re getting. It’ll give you an idea of your make and model, but some of the specs could be different.
If you’re leasing a used car from us, the photos of the car might show some minor signs of its age and mileage.
Make sure you’ve read up on your car’s C02 and fuel consumption figures, too.
Quote for your car
All our quotes include VAT. So, if the VAT rate changes between the date you order and the date we deliver your car, the price you pay will change too.
If we give you a quote, it’s valid for 14 days. It includes delivery to anywhere in the Mainland GB. We do not allow orders or delivery outside of Mainland GB.
Before we can complete your order, you’ll need to do three things:
- Tell us we can run a finance check on you. It’ll cover credit, affordability, identity and fraud checks. It lets us know it’s really you we’re leasing to, and it’ll make sure you can afford the lease before we hand over the keys.
- Sign our Personal Contract Hire Agreement. If the checks go okay, we’ll send you all the agreement details. If you’re happy, we’ll ask you to sign it, then we’ll sign it too.
- Pay a non-refundable processing fee as follows:
- New Cars – £99
- Used Cars – £199
We’ll only ask you to pay once you’ve cleared our finance checks.
What's in the legal paperwork
After clearing the finance check you will be required to review and sign the Agreement pack. The Agreement pack we’ll send you includes:
- Pre-contract information
- Additional Information (extra information about the contract and your rights to cancel it);
- The Personal Contract Hire Agreement (including important points to note); and
- Direct Debit Mandate.
You’ll need to read them all really carefully as once you sign the Personal Contract Hire Agreement, we’ll hold you to it. You’ll need to sign it electronically within seven days of us sending you the link. You will then pay the non-refundable processing fee.
Changing your order's fine (usually), for a fee
If you want to change something after you’ve ordered, but before your car arrives, we’ll do what we can to help. If we can make the change, we might ask you to pay an amendment fee of £50. If we can’t make the change, you’ll need to cancel your order and start again.
Cancelling your order could cost you
If you are leasing a new car from us and you cancel your order after we’ve sent it to your car’s dealer, you’ll need to pay a cancellation fee. The exact amount will depend on the dealer. It could be as much as 10% of the cost of the car, or the full value of any factory extras you added to the spec – whichever is higher. The closer you leave it to your delivery date, the higher the fee is likely to be.
There is no cancellation fee if you are ordering a used car.
Delivering your car (Mainland GB)
If you are leasing a new car from us, we will aim to deliver the vehicle to you as soon as the manufacturer or dealer tells us that it is available for delivery or if you are leasing a used car from us, we will aim to deliver the vehicle to you as soon as possible after the Personal Contract Hire Agreement has been signed by us. In any event, we’ll let you know as soon as your car’s ready.
PLEASE NOTE – The current global shortage of semiconductors is affecting the delivery times of some cars, which could mean that the delivery time for a car changes after you’ve placed your order. Any timelines shown on the site are indicative and based on current advice from manufacturers. If the delivery timeline for your order changes, we’ll be in touch with you as soon as we can to let you know. More info on the semiconductor shortage here.
Before we hand over the keys, you’ll need to get the car insured on a fully comprehensive basis and give us copies of the policy schedule. You will also need to ensure you have paid your initial payment before the vehicle can be delivered. This need to be paid by direct debit and our team will call you to arrange this.
We’ll give you a date when we’d like to deliver the car. If it doesn’t work for you, we’re happy to rearrange it, as long as we get the car to you within 45 days of the first delivery date we suggest (if leasing a new car) or within 21 days of the first delivery date we suggest (if leasing a used car) (we’re sure you won’t want to wait any longer than that to get behind the wheel).
When we deliver the car, you (the person who ordered it and has their name on the Personal Contract Hire Agreement) needs to be there. We’ll ask you to show us some ID, like your passport or driving licence, to make sure we’re handing the keys to the right person.
We’ll only deliver the car to your home address in Mainland GB.
Relying on info on our site
If you’ve got any questions about the facts and figures on the site, give us a call.
Our CO2 and fuel consumption info is just C02 and fuel consumption figures to help customers compare different cars. Don’t expect to get those figures when you’re driving, though. How much fuel you use will vary loads depending on a guide.
The EU asks car manufacturers to quote how many people, and how much luggage is in the car; how good the roads are and even your driving style. We’ve found the C02 and fuel figures for plug-in and hybrid cars vary the most. The figures we’ve quoted could even change before we register the car, which could change the amount of road tax we need to pay.
We try to keep things up-to-date, but we can’t promise
We do our best to keep everything on here (including car data and specs) up-to-date, but legally you can’t blame us if it isn’t. Try as we might to get things right, we can never promise that everything on here will be accurate, complete, up-to-date and have all the content you need to choose the right car.
You’ll also find a few different opinions on here (including articles and reviews) which aren’t necessarily ours. We’ll always tell you what we think of our cars if you ask us. But we don’t check the truth, accuracy reasonableness, reliability or completeness of other people’s content.
If we’re honest, we think it’s always good to look in a few places before you splurge on a new car. If you decide you love our site so much that you don’t need to look anywhere else, you do it at your own risk. If you’ve got any questions about the cars on our site, give Tom and the team a call.
Using the website sensibly and securely
We're not responsible for sites we link to.
Sometimes we’ll give you links to sites run by other people and companies (or ‘third parties’ as our lawyers call them). Even though we’re giving you those links to be helpful, we can’t guarantee you’ll get the info you need on them – not least because we have no say over how those other sites are run, or how they update or change their content.
We're not responsible for viruses, and you mustn't deliberately give viruses to us.
We can never completely promise that our site will be 100% secure or bug and virus-free.
To be on the safe side, you should always use your own virus protection software. It’s up to you to set up your tech, computer programmes and platform so you can get onto and use our site.

And you should never knowingly give us a virus, trojan, worm, logic bomb or other malicious or technologically harmful material either. You shouldn’t hack into our site, the server we store it on or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You mustn’t attack our site with a denial-of-service attack, or a distributed denial-of-service attack. If you do, we’ll give your details straight to the police, and any other relevant authorities. It also goes without saying that you won’t be allowed to use our site any more, either.
We could take our site down at any time
Our site’s free to use.
We can’t promise that our site or the content on it, will always be there, without any interruption. If we need to fix something, or if we think the site’s been hacked or attacked, we could take it down at any time. We’ll try and give you a bit of warning, but we can’t make any promises.
